Woodford Reserve Distiller’s Select is a small-batch bourbon from Kentucky.
It is a straight bourbon made on Kentucky’s oldest distillery site. The Woodford Reserve Distillery was established circa 1812 and is a National Historic Landmark in the bluegrass region of central Kentucky.
Woodford Reserve is the only bourbon which is triple distilled in copper pot stills. It is then aged in charred American oak barrels in stone ageing warehouses.
Rich. rounded and smooth. this bourbon has complex aromas of dried fruit. vanilla and tobacco spice. followed by flavours of toffee and spice with a long. warming finish.
Woodford Reserve can be enjoyed on the rocks or makes an ideal ingredient for the classic Old Fashioned cocktail.

Background behind the Woodford Reserve

A historic distillery The Woodford Reserve Distillery was established circa 1812 and is a National Historic Landmark in the bluegrass region of central Kentucky. Over 200 years of bourbon knowledge has gone into the making of this spirit.	Triple copper pot distillation Our dynamic flavour combination is crafted using both triple pot distillation and double distillation in a column thumper still set. No other whiskey can boast such a flavour combination.	Bespoke barrel maturation The barrels in which our bourbon is aged give all of the colour and most of the flavour to the whiskey. Woodford Reserve controls the entire barrel production from the choice of the trees to the charring and toasting of the hand-crafted barrels.	A unique grain recipe Woodford Reserve is made with 72% corn. 18% rye. and 10% malted barley. Our grain recipe is uniquely defined by our higher rye content. Rye’s higher price is worth the investment as it allows our whiskey to have a complex and spicy character.

Woodford Reserve recipes

Woodford Reserve Old Fashioned – 50 ml Woodford Reserve Bourbon – 10 ml sugar syrup – 2 dashes of bitters – Orange peel Combine sugar syrup in bitters in rocks glass. Add the Woodford Reserve with 3 ice cubes and stir until you reach the required dilution. Add more ice and garnish with twisted orange peel.	Woodford Reserve Mint Julep – 50 ml Woodford Reserve Bourbon – 25 ml sugar syrup – 3 dashes of bitters – 6 mint sprigs Add mint leaves to glass with sugar syrup. Gently muddle together. Add Woodford Reserve. Half fill with ice and stir. Re-fill with crushed ice. Garnish with mint.	Woodford Reserve Manhattan – 50 ml Woodford Reserve Bourbon – 25 ml sweet vermouth – 3 dashes of bitters – Maraschino cherry – Orange peel Combine all ingredients in mixing glass. Stir with ice then strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with cherry and twisted orange peel.
